We operate a dedicated 4S store (Sales, Service, Spare Parts, Survey) and service stations for our brands including GWM, Chery, DongFeng, Shantui, and Sitrak. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, compile, and submit applications for all necessary statutory permits and licenses, including but not limited to:
    • Building Permits (Metropolitan/Municipal/District Assemblies).
    • Environmental Permits (Environmental Protection Agency - EPA).
    • Zoning and Land Use Certificates.
    • National Fire Service Clearance/Certificates.
    • Utility connections (Water, Electricity, and Sewerage) permits.
  • Track the status of all permit applications and proactively follow up with regulatory authorities to expedite approvals.
  • Ensure all project documentation meets the technical specifications and regulatory standards required by Ghanaian law.
  • Maintain a centralized digital and physical filing system for all project permits, contracts, drawings, and regulatory correspondence.
  • Prepare technical and administrative reports, letters, and presentations for the Project Manager.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between the engineering team, external consultants, and government officials.
  • Review tender documents and engineering drawings to identify permit requirements.
  • Liaise between the civil/structural engineers and government inspectors during site inspections.
  • Translate technical engineering requirements into the standard language required for official permit applications.
  • Manage the Project Manager’s calendar and travel arrangements.
  • Process invoices and track budget expenditures related to permit fees and external consultants.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Construction, or Structural Engineering preferred) OR a related technical field with a strong understanding of construction processes.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of work experience in an administrative, project support, or regulatory compliance role, preferably within the construction, real estate, or automobile industry in Ghana.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of successfully obtaining building/construction permits from Ghanaian authorities (e.g., MMDA, EPA, Fire Service) is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Project Management software.
  • Ability to read and understand basic architectural/engineering drawings.
  • Strong report writing and minute-taking skills.

Skills:

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Ghana’s Local Government Act, Building Regulations, and Environmental Assessment Regulations.
  • Negotiation & Persuasion: Ability to confidently represent the company before government officials and navigate complex bureaucratic processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in preparing documentation to avoid rejection or delays in permit applications.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate bottlenecks in the approval process and propose alternative solutions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with engineers, administrators, and external stakeholders.
