The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance, operations, and profitability of multiple retail locations. This role drives commercial outcomes, ensures operational excellence, and leads store teams to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capability, commercial acumen, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving retail environment. Area Managers can be based across South Africa and Namabia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple store locations
    • Conduct regular store visits to monitor performance and compliance
    • Ensure consistent execution of visual merchandising and brand standards
  • Commercial Performance
    • Drive sales growth, profitability, and KPIs
    • Analyse financial data and implement corrective actions
  • People Management
    • Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers
    • Support recruitment and performance management
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management
    • Promote a customer-centric culture
    • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Compliance & Risk
    • Ensure adherence to policies and legal requirements
    • Maintain health and safety standards

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Secondary education (or equivalent); a business-related qualification is advantageous
  • Proven experience managing multiple retail locations or leading multi-site operations
  • Strong working knowledge of retail operations, financial management, and performance metrics
  • Proficiency in standard business systems and Microsoft Office tools
