This role plays an important part in creating a calm, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality beverage service while demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and discretion at all times. Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages to high standards Provide warm, respectful, and professional customer service Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station and service areas Operate coffee equipment safely and correctly Monitor stock levels and assist with basic inventory control Handle cash or point-of-sale transactions where applicable Adhere to all health, safety, hygiene, and facility protocols Support a calm, respectful environment aligned to the facility’s values
Skills and Competencies:
Previous barista or café experience (advantageous) Knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service Strong interpersonal skills with a calm, compassionate approach Professional, discreet, and respectful manner Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and well-presented Willingness to comply with healthcare and rehabilitation facility standards
Qualifications:
Be 18 years of age Must have completed at least a matric / senior certificate
