Zippy Courier Delivery is a startup that seeks to revolutionize connectivity in Ghana for businesses and individuals, through the establishment of an affordable, accessible, secure and reliable courier delivery system using electric-only vehicles. Join us in driving change and shaping the future of courier delivery in Ghana.

We are seeking an energetic, ambitious and personable Business Development Account Executive to identify growth opportunities, engage with clients, and drive business expansion efforts. In this full-time, on-site role based in Accra, you will handle tasks such as building and maintaining client relationships, generating leads, negotiating contracts, and managing key accounts.

Additionally, you will support the development and execution of business strategies to achieve revenue targets and foster long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Study and provide input to Zippy Marketing and Business Development Strategy
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling, emails and social media.
  • Visit successful and qualified leads for in-person discussions/presentations.
  • Present, promote and sell Zippy services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs (understand their business).
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Support merchants with timely order placement and training on the use of the Zippy merchant portal.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and promotional trends.
  • Learn the Zippy APP and website and support the development of improvements to suit the Company’s business development goals and the Ghanaian market.
  • Support analysis of order and delivery data and develop related marketing business insights.
  • Maintain company reputation by adhering to company values.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation
  • Proven expertise in Account Management and Relationship Building
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills to address client needs effectively
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the logistics or courier industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field

Compensation

Competitive compensation to be discussed including commissions and add-ons on meeting sales targets. Compensation starting from $250 with no ceiling. Health benefits included.
