Engineer - High Voltage Radio Comm Maintenance

Job Description

To ensure reliable and safe operation, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage electrical systems and radio communication networks critical to mine operations. The role involves technical expertise in maintaining equipment, identifying, and resolving faults, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and industry standards.

Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on high-voltage equipment, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and power distribution systems. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults to minimize downtime. Conduct testing, commissioning, and system upgrades as required. Ensure adherence to high-voltage safety procedures and relevant electrical codes and regulations.

Install, configure, and maintain radio communication systems, including base stations, handheld radios, and repeater networks. Monitor and optimize communication networks for performance and reliability. Diagnose and repair faults in radio frequency (RF) equipment and ensure minimal operational disruption. Implement software updates and firmware configurations for communication devices.

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and test results. Prepare reports on system performance and provide recommendations for improvements. Develop and update technical documentation, including schematics and operating procedures.
