<p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">The Master of Business Administration program is a graduate program offered by the Business Administration Department. The program follows a modular structure, with each module delivered over four weekends, from Friday to Sunday. The program currently has two cohorts, with the most recent cohort, the Class of 2028, joining the program in September 2026.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">As a Contract Faculty Intern (FI), you will support the MBA Program with teaching and learning, and other pre-assigned department activities (where applicable). The FI role is an opportunity to gain relevant teaching experience, in preparation for a career as an Academic. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Responsibilities and Duties</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">In-class Responsibilities</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Attend all lectures (in-person and/or online) and provide real time support to faculty and students including but not limited to tracking student attendance; liaise with the Hotline and IT teams to prepare all tech tools required for the class; monitor students participation in class activities; disseminate readings to students ahead of classes; etc.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Lead and facilitate discussion/lab sessions and other class sessions where necessary to review class content with students</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Assist faculty with grading of assignments and quizzes. Note, Faculty Interns are not allowed to grade Final and Mid-Semester Assessments.</span></li>

<p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Administrative / Logistical Responsibilities</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Schedule office hours to provide extra support to students who have general questions, are struggling or need extra revision support.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Coordinate fireside chats, and off-site field trips with contact persons on the field, monitor student safety during field trip activities and liaise with relevant departments at Ashesi for bus and meal arrangements, etc.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Support faculty with lesson development and conduct desktop research for articles and other necessary information to be included in lesson plans</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Document all recordings for online classes and share recording links with students</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Report all student behavioral, participation and attendance concerns to the Hotline team as part of student inactivity reporting.</span></li>

<p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt"><span style="font-weight: bold">Qualifications and Skills - </span>We are seeking highly qualified individuals with:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">A master's  degree in Accounting or Finance with Professional Certification in Accountancy</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Experience in educational administration or a higher education environment is a plus.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Prior teaching experience at the graduate level and industry expertise will be an added advantage. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Strong quantitative skills</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to elicit and communicate information and to prepare clear, informative and concise materials.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Initiative and judgment to independently problem-solve and prioritize work. Can also work as a strong team member when the situation warrants.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Reliability, dependability, and a generally good attitude and disposition.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Ability to analyze, synthesize and summarize information.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Excellent communication skills, especially in writing and interpersonal conversation</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Advanced proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Software suite (i.e. MS Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">Comfortable with learning new technology tools for information gathering and sharing; ability to instruct/assist others in use of these tools e.g., Canvas (Learning Management System); Student Information System, other web-based software.</span></li>
