Finance Director

Job Description

A fast-growing, South African based group operating in the FMCG industry, is looking for a strategic, commercially minded finance leader and qualified CA(SA), to lead their full finance function.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance activities
• Contribute at executive level by providing commercial and strategic support to the business
• Oversee all finance operations (cash flow, payables/receivables, trial balance)
• Manage monthly and annual close, consolidations, and reporting
• Provide financial insights and analysis for decision-making
• Advise on capital structure, forex, and hedging strategies
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and 3-year strategic planning
• Develop pricing, profitability, and cost-saving models
• Support investment analysis
• Improve working capital and inventory planning
• Ensure statutory compliance, audits, tax submissions, and payroll oversight
• Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, and financial partners
• Lead B-BBEE strategy and compliance
• Oversee insurance and tax efficiency strategies
• Develop KPIs and performance dashboards
• Support ERP implementation and data/reporting integrity
• Enhance business intelligence and reporting systems

Requirements

• CA(SA)
• Executive-level communication and leadership ability
• Strong analytical, commercial, and systems skills
• 5+ years experience in a senior finance leadership role within the food and beverage sector
• Experience in multinational environments (beneficial)
