Job Description:

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global humanitarian aid, relief, and development nongovernmental organization (NGO). Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC provides emergency relief and assistance to refugees and displaced people around the world. The IRC is currently working in over 40 countries, providing a range of services including emergency assistance, post-conflict reconstruction, and long-term development programs.

The IRC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the position of Job Recruitment at International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Abuja, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the IRC's job recruitment efforts in Nigeria, working closely with the Country Director and other senior staff to identify and recruit top talent for key positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the IRC's job recruitment efforts in Nigeria, working closely with the Country Director and other senior staff to identify and recruit top talent for key positions.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent in Nigeria.
  • Conduct interviews and assessments to identify the most suitable candidates for key positions.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement effective onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Provide support and guidance to new hires to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and other partners.
  • Represent the IRC in various forums and events, including job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Country Director.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading recruitment efforts and developing effective recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including to remote locations.
  • Strong commitment to the IRC's mission and values.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive and inclusive work culture.
