Mathematics Teacher with IG experience

Job Description

Curriculum Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned specifically with the Cambridge IGCSE and often A-Level Mathematics syllabi.

Examination Preparation: Prepare students for external examinations through effective revision strategies, mock assessments, and invigilation.

Assessment & Reporting: Regularly monitor, grade, and record student progress, providing timely feedback to both students and parents.

Professional Collaboration: Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and co-curricular activities like mentoring or clubs.

Classroom Management: Maintain high standards of discipline and create an inclusive, stimulating environment for diverse learners

Qualification Required & Experience

• Academic Degree: A minimum of a Bachelor of Education (Mathematics option) or a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/related field. A Master's degree is often preferred.
• Teaching Certification: Recognized status such as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), or equivalent.
• Relevant Experience: Generally 2 to 5 years of post-qualification teaching experience specifically within the Cambridge IGCSE framework.
• Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge in Pure Mathematics, Mechanics, and Statistics is frequently required for secondary roles.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using ICT and online teaching platforms to enhance student learning.
