Job Description

We need to output clean semantic HTML per rules. Input is already HTML with

tags etc. We must preserve all original content word-for-word, but format as clean semantic HTML: use

for paragraphs,

for section headers,
  • for list items. No CSS classes, no inline styles, no
    , no
. Must preserve all original content word-for-word, but we need to transform the given HTML into proper semantic HTML. We need to extract sections: "GENERAL JOB INFORMATION", "JOB PURPOSE", "JOB CONTEXT", "KEY RESPONSIBILITIES", "JOB PROFILE", then sub-sections "Experience & Qualifications", "Experience", "Skills, Capabilities & Direct attributes". Also there are bullet points using "▪". Those should become
    • . We must preserve all original content word-for-word, meaning we cannot change wording, but we can change formatting tags. Must keep the exact text content, including spaces? Probably we need to keep the text as is, but we can replace bullet symbols with list items. We must not add or remove any content. So we need to output the same textual content, but wrapped in appropriate tags. We must not use
tags. So we need to replace
with appropriate paragraph breaks. We must not use inline styles, so remove style attributes. We must not use
      . We must use

for section headers. So each heading like "GENERAL JOB INFORMATION", "JOB PURPOSE", etc should be

      ...

. Also subheadings like "Experience & Qualifications", "Experience", "Skills, Capabilities & Direct attributes" should be

      . We must use

for introductory paragraphs and general text. So any paragraph that is not a heading or list should be

      . We must use

      • for list items (duties, requirements, qualifications, skills). So each bullet point becomes
      • inside a
. We need to preserve original content word-for-word, including the bullet symbol? The bullet symbol "▪" is part of original content; if we convert to
        • , we should keep the bullet symbol? Usually we would remove the bullet symbol and let
        • provide bullet. But rule says preserve ALL original content word-for-word — do not add, remove, summarise, or rephrase. If we remove the bullet symbol, we are removing content. So we must keep the bullet symbol inside the
        • text. However typical semantic HTML would have
        • containing the text including the bullet symbol. That's okay; we keep the symbol. Thus each bullet line like "▪    Report directly into the CIO Technology Products & Operations as a key interface between the Region and Group IT" we need to keep the "▪" and the spaces? The original includes non-breaking spaces. We should preserve them as is? Probably we can keep the text exactly, but we need to replace   with a regular space? The rule says preserve ALL original content word-for-word. So we must keep   entities as they are. However HTML will render them as spaces. It's okay to keep them. We must not add or remove any content, so we must keep the exact same characters, including   and &. Thus we need to parse the given HTML and produce new HTML with same text nodes but different tags. Given the input includes many

          tags with   and
. We need to strip those tags and re-wrap. Simplify: We can output the same textual content but with appropriate tags, preserving the exact text (including   and &). We'll need to ensure we don't lose any text. Let's extract the textual content from the input, ignoring tags but preserving entities. Input:

We need to ignore empty paragraphs with just   or
. They should be omitted? The rule says preserve ALL original content word-for-word. If we omit them, we are removing content (the   or
). But those are just formatting artifacts; they might be considered stray formatting. The earlier instruction said remove stray numbers or formatting artifacts. But now we are formatting as HTML, we should preserve content but we can treat empty paragraphs as not needed? The rule says preserve ALL original content word-for-word — do not add, remove, summarise, or rephrase. That seems strict. However the earlier instruction for job listing editor said remove stray numbers or formatting artifacts. But now this is a different task: format as clean semantic HTML, preserve ALL original content word-for-word. So we must keep even the   entities and
tags? But we are not allowed to use
tags in output. So we cannot preserve
tags because we must not use
. This is contradictory. Likely we interpret that we should preserve the textual content, not the markup. So we can discard
and   as they are formatting artifacts. The instruction "preserve ALL original content word-for-word" likely refers to the textual content, not the markup. So we can ignore
and   as they are not content. Thus we will output only the meaningful text. Let's extract the meaningful text lines: First paragraph: "GENERAL JOB INFORMATION" then line break then "Job Title: Regional CIO / Regional Technology Head CESA 2 (Francophone)" etc. We need to keep the spaces? Probably we can normalize multiple spaces to single? But preserving word-for-word would keep spaces. However we can keep them as is; multiple spaces are okay. But we will wrap in

for the whole block? The heading should be

. So we need to separate heading from its content. Thus we need to parse: The first block contains heading "GENERAL JOB INFORMATION" followed by details lines. We'll make

          GENERAL JOB INFORMATION

          then a

containing the details lines (each line separated by
originally). We need to represent line breaks within paragraph? We could keep them as separate sentences separated by spaces. But we could also keep
          inside

? Not allowed. So we need to convert line breaks to something else. Perhaps we can keep them as separate

paragraphs? But the rule says use

for introductory paragraphs and general text. So each line could be its own

. However that might change structure. Better: Keep the details as a single

with line breaks represented as spaces? But we would lose the line breaks. However original content had line breaks; but they are formatting. Might be okay to treat as separate sentences. Given the ambiguity, I think we should output each line as its own

for clarity. That preserves each line's text. Thus:

          GENERAL JOB INFORMATION

Job Title:        Regional CIO / Regional Technology Head CESA 2 (Francophone)

Reports to:    Cluster MD, CIO Technology Products & Operations

          Location:       Accra or Regional HQs

Direct Reports:   Country Technology Heads for the Region

Then an empty paragraph with   we can skip. Next:

          JOB PURPOSE
          Key member ...

          Thus:

          JOB PURPOSE

Key member of the Group Technology & Innovation leadership and strategy team. Responsible for guiding and managing performance of the country and Region IT organization. Responsible for ensuring that Ecobank’s digital channels and products work optimally within the region. Strong thought leadership and an interface between IT and the business; accountable for discovering, shaping, and prioritizing how IT can solve business needs in a given function or domain. Holds business leaders accountable for resource commitments through project life cycle and ensures value promised in discovery phase is ultimately captured. Responsible for delivering Technology to the CESA Francophone Business Region.

          Next: JOB CONTEXT. We have

          JOB CONTEXT
          The RCIO ...

          Thus:

          JOB CONTEXT

The RCIO or Regional Technology Head is responsible for providing direction and managing performance of the Country and Region IT organization. He/ She works with the business in the Region to resolve their IT related issues and implement the overall IT priorities, report IT performance in different Countries. The role is responsible for the overall IT services delivery in Countries and the Region.

Note there is a   (maybe an em space) after a line break; we can ignore. Next: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES. We have

          KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
          ▪ ...
          ▪ ... etc

          Thus:

          KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

          • ▪    Report directly into the CIO Technology Products & Operations as a key interface between the Region and Group IT
          • ▪    Liaise with different business owners in the Regions/Clusters to understand the business requirements and align the IT operation with the business objectives
          • ... etc
We need to keep each bullet line exactly as original, including the leading "▪    " and trailing spaces   maybe. Next: JOB PROFILE. We have

          JOB PROFILE
          Experience & Qualifications
          ▪ ...
          ▪ ...

          Experience
          ▪ ...

          Skills, Capabilities & Direct attributes
          ▪ ...

Thus we need headings for each sub-section. So:

          JOB PROFILE

          Experience & Qualifications

          • ▪    A degree in Computer Science, IS, Computer Engineering or related
          • ▪    Post graduate degree a plus

          Experience

          • ▪    At least 10+ experience in IT
          • ▪    Experience in managing IT service delivery
          • ▪    Experience in multi-national setting

          Skills, Capabilities & Direct attributes

          • ▪    Leadership skills in leading people in different countries
          • ▪    People and stakeholder management skills
          • ▪    Strong interpersonal skills in influencing and working in multiple countries with different culture, mind set and Bilingual
          • ▪    Understanding of banking IT
          • ▪    Demonstrated technical engagement in one or multiple banking IT domain(s)
          • ▪    Knowledge in IT Infrastructure
          • ▪    Knowledge of accounting and project management is important
          • ▪    Able to work on multiple tasks, dealing with multiple functions and manage multiple resources in a matrix organization
          • ▪    Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others
Then there are some empty paragraphs with   etc; we can ignore. Now we need to output only HTML, no markdown fences. Let's construct final HTML. We must ensure we close tags properly. We'll output:

          GENERAL JOB INFORMATION

Job Title:        Regional CIO / Regional Technology Head CESA 2 (Francophone)

Reports to:    Cluster MD, CIO Technology Products & Operations

          Location:       Accra or Regional HQs

Direct Reports:   Country Technology Heads for the Region
