Job Description

The Sustainability Lead will drive the company’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and corporate objectives. This role will champion sustainability initiatives across the organization, integrating responsible business practices into operations, underwriting, and investment decisions.

Responsibilities

Strategy Development & Implementation

• Develop, refine, and implement the organisation’s sustainability and ESG roadmap, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and long-term business objectives.
• Integrate sustainability goals into enterprise planning processes in compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, industry guidelines, and global standards.
• Drive continuous improvement by monitoring trends and embedding best practice sustainability approaches across the business.

Risk & Compliance

• Monitor emerging ESG‑related regulations, disclosure requirements, and market expectations, ensuring full compliance and readiness.
• Support the development and integration of climate‑smart insurance solutions and responsible investment strategies.
• Provide insights on emerging environmental and climate‑related risks impacting customers, products, and overall sector resilience

Project Management

• Lead sustainability initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring effective delivery of strategic priorities.
• Manage project budgets, resources, deliverables, and timelines to ensure successful outcomes.
• Track project progress, evaluate impact, and prepare regular performance and milestone reports for senior management and governance bodies

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with internal teams to embed sustainability principles.
• Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators, industry bodies, and community partners.
• Build awareness and drive sustainability culture through training and communication campaigns.

Reporting & Transparency

• Prepare sustainability reports in line with global standards
• Track and report ESG performance metrics to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Innovation & Advocacy

• Identify opportunities for green insurance products and sustainable investment strategies.
• Promote awareness and training on sustainability across the organization
