Liebherr Zambia, in cooperation with Fountain Gate Crafts and Trades School (FGCATS), is implementing a project to establish a sustainable dual apprenticeship programme. One component of the project focuses on developing short-term modular courses to expand access, generate revenue, and support long-term sustainability.
We are seeking a Project Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of short-term training courses. The role focuses on operational support, organisation, documentation, and coordination of course development and delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with management, trainers, and industry partners.
The assignment is expected to commence on 01 June 2026 and will run for a duration of approximately three months (about 60 working days), with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of a 3-year short-course roadmap
- Assist in the preparation of documents, presentations, and reports
- Collect and compare supplier offers, pre-check invoices, and track basic finances
- Organise venues and assist in setting up training spaces
- Support trainers during course delivery and manage registrations and participant records
- Assist with marketing and communication activities and follow up on course fees and payments
- Support day-to-day project operations
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in administration, project coordination, or training support
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience in event organisation and logistics
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact professionally with students and partners
- Basic knowledge of financial processes is an advantage
Internship Option
This position may also be offered as an internship, depending on the candidate profile and project needs. Applications from recent graduates or students are therefore encouraged. The internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in an international project environment, working closely with experienced professionals in vocational training and project implementation. Where applicable, basic support such as accommodation and meals during the internship period may be provided.
